I don’t know the name of the male who checked us in, other than he was black and his hair was tied back in a pony tail. He was awesome! Gave us great info about the area and was very accommodating and welcoming. We were there to go on a cruise and due to the hurricane our board time went from the next morning to late evening. I called the front desk to see if I could get late checkout and was given an extra hour (noon checkout instead of 11am) which was great. I was told to bring our 4 keys down so they could reprogram them. My daughter brought them down and was met with a woman named Dayna. She informed them they we should have never been given late checkout because we are not Marriott members. She also refused to reprogram all four keys and said she would only do one key. The next morning I was greeted by the same young man as before. I asked who that woman was that worked the evening shift. He said her name was Dayna. I told him she was mean and he responded to me “I get that a lot.”

We decided to leave the hotel we had booked earlier because we had a very unpleasant situation there. So we booked this hotel instead. What a fabtastic decision! It was clean, spacious, comfortable and the nice lady at the reception gave us an upgrade to a room with beauful ocean views. Staff of this hotel were even apologetic for the bad experience we had in the other place in Galveston. Right across the beach at a great location!

Room was clean and very comfortable. The staff we encountered were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast included many good options and the staff were friendly and helpful. The front desk worked to make sure we could get in our room a little early (we were pushed on time to get ready for the wedding in time).

Melinda

Overall, the room was very spacious and clean, and we were pleased with it. The staff seemed a little disorganized, but they were OK. Unfortunately, a kidnap website captured our initial payment and we had to call the credit card company to dispute it, but they still had a room available. This was fine.

Amazing breakfast mini quiche was supurb. Nice staff, small glitches as its a new hotel but they were very accommodating
